We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with the lovely local team at Farmers’ Welsh Lavender. We’re always looking for small, local business’ to work with and so we jumped at the opportunity to get together with a UK farm that specialises in growing and distilling one of our favourite essential oils; Lavender.
Farmers’ is a small lavender farm based in Builth Wells, with a small shop in Hay on Wye, not far from our cottage in Ross on Wye. Their ethos closely aligns with our own, with all of their produce and practices having a strong focus on being plastic free or recyclable, sustainable, organic and natural.

Wild Welsh Lavender
Inspired by the labour of Welsh hill farmers, this close knit team work together on their Lavender farm, distilling lavender essential oils, cultivating honey from their free roaming bees, formulating natural skin care and providing a sanctuary for those that need a little escape into nature
The team at Farmers’ already have their own range of natural skin care, made from the oils and honey they produce themselves. But they had not yet set foot into the world of natural soap making. And so we decided to work together to create a soap bar that was above all designed with workers hands in mind.
It was made for those of us who like to get our hands dirty, pulling weeds in the garden, with the earth under our finger nails and the wind against our skin. It is for the lavender gardeners themselves, whose hands after a long days work want nothing more than to wrap themselves around a fresh mug of tea. For the makers and shakers of this world who like us want to work in unison with nature and who, by extension, want to keep their skin care natural, handmade, and local.
And yet as with all of our natural soap bars, they can be used by any one, anywhere, any time; as a face soap, a hand soap, a skin nourishing all over body soap. Keep it in the bathroom, on the kitchen sink, or in your workshop - just remember to let it sit on a well draining surface, and your soap will serve you well

And so, Inspired by a blend of the Lavender that is grown and distilled by hand on the farm, Vetiver + Bergamot, the Farmers’ Soap was born. With Coconut + Cocoa butter to deeply moisturise tired hands, and Sunflower oil - full of vitamin E and antioxidants - to help protect the skin. The Green Clay works to draw out impurities and of course, the mesmerising blend of Lavender, Vetiver + Bergamot, to calm and ground the senses, carrying you off into the mystical hills and valleys where it was made.
