Oil Cleansing Method Combination/Oily Skin

 (2 reviews)

The oil cleansing method was born from the chemistry concept that 'Like dissolves like'.

We know that our skin naturally produces oils to protect, moisturise and heal our skin, and so if our skin needs these oils to be healthy, we need to replace the old dirty oils with beneficial new ones.

Most commercial soaps and face masks work on the basis that all oil is dirty, and must be stripped from skin in order for it to be clean and break out free. However when we strip away our natural oils, our skin over compensates by generating an excess, causing imbalanced and blemished skin.

That's why we have formulated our Oil Cleanser, one for Dry or combination skin and this one, for Oily skin.

This blend contains Organic Rosehip oil and Apricot Kernel oil, both renowned for their moisturising properties and anti-aging effects. We've added Lavender, a known anti-septic and anti-bacterial to help prevent blemishes, and Geranium essential oil to balance the skin.

Prepare: Have the bottle ready. And a clean face cloth beside the sink. Turn the hot water on to warm up.

Cleanse: Starting with a dirty face (no need to pre-clean, even if you are wearing makeup), rinse your face lightly with the warm, running water. Pour the oil in the palm of your hand and then apply gently all over your face. Massage firmly, but gently, always moving upwards. Massage for 2 minutes, and then let the oil sit on your face for 30 more seconds or more.

Rinse: Wet the  face cloth until it’s completely soaked and hot. Apply the face cloth to your face and hold it there for 10-15 seconds. Slowly begin to wipe off. Rinse your face cloth and repeat until you’ve wiped all the oil off your skin.

How does it work?
Your skin secretes oil, even if your face feels dry, it still has oil on it. As  like dissolves like what you’re doing is dissolving and wiping away all the dirty oil from your face and replenishing it with clean, nourishing oil.

There are no harsh chemicals involved. Nothing to strip your skin of it sebum. And this is good, because when you strip your skin of its sebum, it goes into overdrive, trying to create more. Which leads to clogged pores,  blackheads and whiteheads..

i was sceptical about this however it has worked a treat. i use it at night and find i do not need to use a moisturiser as well. my skin stays balanced and does not get oily like it used to do. the bottle is small but lasts a really long time. it also smells wonderful and is relaxing to apply.

Thank you for making this product. I had bought a bottle at a shop in clifton village. i just finished a bottle of tata harper cleanser and could not face the fact of plunging some money on purchasing another bottle (it was a present). your cleansing oil is pure perfection. ever since using it, i have received so many lovely comments on the quality of my complexion! i can't wait to try your other products. Thank you again!
