We know it might seem counterintuitive to wash your skin with a charcoal soap, but don't worry, charcoal is great for your skin. Strange as it may seem activated charcoal does wonders to brighten the complexion and cleanse pores.
For over 10,000 years Charcoal has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to detox the body. It works by binding to toxins and chemicals in the skin, deeply penetrating pores and capturing dirt and grime so you can easily wash them away. This means the topical use of charcoal can be effective for pore decongestion, making it excellent for oily, blemish prone skin.
We've combined it with Palmarosa and Grapefruit essential oils, a cleansing and antioxidant rich blend to help skin retain its natural moisture. You can use this soap as part of your daily routine for face, hands and body.

WorkshopAll of our products are made with the best natural ingredients we can find and lovingly crafted at our cottage in the Herefordshire countryside.
No Parabens, Artificial Colours
We use the cold process method when making all our soaps and also a process called super-fatting. Doing this leaves in a lot of free oils and the naturally occurring glycerine. This is what makes them so exceptionally moisturising.
Since our hand-crafted soaps have no chemical preservatives, they deserve a little bit of care to keep them happy and prolong their lives.
All of our soaps contain a high percentage of natural glycerine, which is great for your skin as its incredibly moisturising, but it also attracts water. So, it's really important to keep them somewhere dry.
When you're not using your soap it's best to keep them out of water on a well-drained surface, allowing it to dry between uses. Use a soap dish (wooden dishes with open slats are perfect) or you could even be a bit creative and use a few pebbles from the garden. This will help keep your soap happy so you can keep feeling naturally fresh and fragrant for as long as possible!
